MONTEZUMA — Robert L. Crenshaw, 84, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.He was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Shamrock, Texas, to Robert and Lisa Imhoff Crenshaw.
On June 29, 1946, he married Bernice F. Friddle in Pampa, Texas. She died April 25, 1987. He also was preceded in death by his parents; two stepchildren, Tony Kirby and Marcia Lobban; and a grandson.
A farmer and rancher, Mr. Crenshaw had lived on a farm near Montezuma since 1960. He also worked for City Service Gas Company for 26 years until his retirement. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre.
Survivors include a son, Randy Crenshaw of Dodge City; a daughter, Vicki Guerrero of Pikecreek, Texas; a sister, Bonnie Wiegand of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery, Montezuma.
