Donald Lee Farmer, 82, of Clovis, N.M., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Farwell Care and Rehabilitation Center in Farwell, Texas, from complications of a stroke.
He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Emporia, to Clifford David and Mildred "Mary" Karr Farmer.
Mr. Farmer had a career turning around and saving insolvent, small-town agriculture banks in Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma, including in Leoti in 1964 and in Ulysses in 1984. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Murphy Farmer of Clovis, N.M.; his ex-wives, Eleanor (Barr) of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jeanette (Emmett) of Aurora, Colo.; four sons, Mark and Kevin, both of Aurora, Matt of Las Vegas, and Chad of Elizabeth, Colo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His family and friends will celebrate his life at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at 12408 E. Amherst Circle, Aurora, CO 80014.

Internment of his cremated remains, in private ceremony, will be at Santa Fe, New Mexico's military cemetery in the spring of 2013.
