Florence Anna Yocum, 84, of Garden City, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

Florence Anna Yocum, 84, of Garden City, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

She was born May 7, 1928, in Prairie Home, Neb., to Bernard and Lydia McColm Toland.

A homemaker, Mrs. Yocum had been a resident of Garden City since 1950.

On Aug. 7, 1963, she married Charles Yocum in Garden City. He died Nov. 25, 2006, in Garden City. She also was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers.

Survivors include a brother, Edward Toland of Garden City; and a sister, Evelyn Welch of Lamar, Colo.

Graveside service will begin at 3 p.m. today at Lakin Cemetery in Lakin.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City. Condolences may be sent to www.priceandsons.com. Memorials to the Florence Yocum Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, 620 N. Main St., Garden City, KS 67846.
