Delores Kroeger

Delores "Jean" Bolen Kroeger, 81, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in WaKeeney.

She was born June 11, 1931, in Sharon Springs, to Addison Bolen and Zella Huffman Dorzweiler.

On Dec. 29, 1947, she married Ehrenfried "Ernie" Kroeger in Ellis.

Mrs. Kroeger had worked at numerous businesses before retiring in 2006.

In addition to her husband, survivors include four daughters, Sandra Schoenberger of Mankato, Debra Eveleigh of Norton, Wanda Kroeger of WaKeeney, and Raelene Stoecklein of Garden City; a brother, Edwin "Mike" Dorzweiler of North Platte, Neb.; three sisters, Adeline Rupp of Lochbie, Colo., Mary Graham of Tucson, Ariz., and Judy Stricker of Chester, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Edwin Dorzweiler; and a sister, Irene Walker.

Vigil service will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church in WaKeeney. A memorial service will follow at the Eagles Lodge with family receiving friends afterward. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Inurnment will follow at Christ the King Catholic Cemetery.
