Erasmo Ibarra

Erasmo Ibarra, 55, of Garden City, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

He was born May 16, 1957, in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Erasmo and Maria Luisa Nevarez Ibarra.

A Garden City resident since 1986, Mr. Ibarra worked for Dr. Fry Associates as a janitor for more than 22 years.

On Jan. 9, 1994, he married Priscilla Marroquin in Garden City. She preceded him in death as did his parents.

Survivors include four daughters, Raquel Luna of Pueblo, Colo., Monica Luna of Las Vegas, Nev., and Marissa Ibarra and Delilah Ibarra, both of Garden City; seven brothers, Juan Manuel Ibarra of Albuquerque, N.M., Martin Ibarra, Efren Ibarra and Alfredo Ibarra, all of Chihuahua, Jesus Maria Ibarra and Rodrigo Ibarra, both of Guymon, Okla., and Miguel Angel Ibarra of Las Cruces, N.M.; three sisters, Maria Estela Ibarra, Maria Teresa Ibarra and Ofelia Ibarra, all of Chihuahua; and 13 grandchildren.

A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Word Of Life Church, Garden City. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City.
