Alice Seals

SCOTT CITY — Alice M. Seals, 89, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

She was born Aug. 16, 1922, in Loco, Okla., to Merle Thomas and Iva Lee Boren Howerton.

A resident of Scott City since 1960, Mrs. Seals was a homemaker.

On April 24, 1943, she married Elmer Doyle Seals in Wichita Falls, Texas. He died May 6, 1975, in Scott City. She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include a daughter, Judy Stegall of Scott City; three granddaughters; two sisters, Wanda Fosdick and Typee Partney, both of Fowler, Colo.; two brothers, Bob Howerton of Eads, Colo., and Tom Howerton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Scott City. Inurnment will be at Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.

Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Condolences may be given at www.priceandsons.com or pricefh@wbsnet.org. Memorials are suggested to the Scott County Health Department or Scott County Library, both in care of the funeral home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
