HUGOTON — Margaret Ellinor Cox, 97, a long-time resident of Hugoton, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Pioneer Manor.She was born April 16, 1915, in rural Hugoton, to Harry and Myrtle Alms Parker.
On Aug. 6, 1939, she married Harold Cox. They moved to Ulysses and later moved to Hugoton, where she began her life as a farm wife. Her husband preceded her in death as did her parents; a son, Jim R. Cox; and a sister, Ila Bryan.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry and Jeff Cox, and a daughter, Judy Hamlin, all of Hugoton; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church, Hugoton. Burial will be at Hugoton Cemetery.
Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Paul's Funeral Home in Hugoton. Memorials are suggested to Pioneer Manor or the United Methodist Church of Hugoton, both in care of the funeral home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.
