Hayward Beauchamp

ULYSSES — Hayward Beauchamp, 85, of Ulysses, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at The Legacy at Park View in Ulysses.

He was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Falls of Rough, Ky., to John and Shellie Wilson Beauchamp.

Mr. Beauchamp was an elevator manager for Collingwood Grain in Johnson City from 1966 until his retirement in 1996. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

On April 24, 1982, he married Donna Hardin. She survives. Other survivors include four sons, Keith Beauchamp of Olathe, Kevin Beauchamp of McPherson, Kent Beauchamp of Johnson City, and Kelly Beauchamp of Cañon City, Colo.; a daughter, Kara Cravens of Minot, N.D.; a sister, Edna Ferry of Leitchfield, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City, with military rites conducted.

Memorials are suggested to St. Catherine Hospice, in care of Garnand Funeral Home, 405 W. Grant Ave., Ulysses, KS 67880.
