Singles dance: Featuring “Moonshiners” from 7 to 10:30 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, U.S. Highway 83 and Mary Street. Sponsored by Garden City Singles, the dance is open to the public. People attending must be age 21 or older.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20

Memorial service: Christian musical program and special memorial service in remembrance of Garden Valley Retirement Village residents who have died since Jan. 1, 2012, 7 p.m. at GVRV, 1505 E. Spruce St., featuring the music group “Half Fast Singers” directed by Dr. Mark Neuman, who is also the group’s guitar accompanist. Other members are David Miller, Wendell Wurst and Richard Taylor. THURSDAY, FEB. 21

“Shotguns for Wedding Bells”: Garden City Community College dinner theater production, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21 to 24 in the auditorium of the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building on campus, 801 Campus Drive. Reservations are required. Admission is $20 per person or two for $35, including dinner. Ticket and reservation information is available 7:30 to 11 a.m. and noon to 3:30 p.m. weekdays in the fine arts office or by calling 276-9540. Possible encore performances at 6:30 p.m. March 1 and 2.

Third Thursdays: “Soup Loop,” 5 to 8 p.m. in downtown Garden City, featuring a loaded baked potato at Fresh Bites, chicken vegetable soup at the Downtown Vision office, chili at Wheatfields on Main, ham and beans at The Architect Office, corn chowder at The Corner on Main and green chile at Brown’s Shoe Fit (bring canned goods for Garden City’s three food pantries and receive a special spoon that will allow you to purchase a cup of soup for $1 at each station instead of the standard $2 charge).

Musical program: Featuring “The Humdingers,” 7 p.m. at Homestead Assisted Living, 2414 N. Henderson St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

 2013 Western Kansas Holiness Summit: Featured speaker is Dr. David J. Spittal, president of MidAmerica Nazarene University, with services at 7 p.m. Feb. 22 and 23 and 5 p.m. Feb. 24 at First Church of the Nazarene, 2720 N. Campus Drive.

SUNDAY, FEB. 24

Head over Heels Bridal Show: 1 to 4 p.m. at the Clarion Inn Conference Center. There will be a $500 Grand Prize to one lucky bride, plus more than $2,000 in giveaways. Free admission.
