DIGHTON — Twila M. Head, 75, died Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Lane County Long Term Care, Dighton.

She was born July 1, 1938, in Lane County to Bert U. and Vera N. Richards Nichols.

She married Clyde Head on July 30, 1955, at Dighton. He preceded her in death.

She worked as a truck driver with her husband, operated a day care in Scott City and was a cook at the Dighton American Legion and The Majestic in Scott City.

Survivors include three daughters, Therese and Bob Bouck of Olathe, Marletta and Mike Betzold of Liberal, and Melinda and Tory Borell of Dighton; a son, Gary and Melody Head of Dodge City; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Dighton.

Burial will be at Dighton Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Boomhower Funeral Home in Dighton.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or Sterling House, in care of the funeral home.
