'Commissioners on Tap' tonight
The Finney County Young Professionals, along with the Garden City
Area Chamber of Commerce, will host "Commissioners on Tap" at 7 tonight
at Samy's Spirits and Steakhouse, 1911 E. Kansas Ave.
Both Garden City and Finney County Commissioners have been invited to
speak about issues facing the commission this upcoming year and answer
questions. There is no cost to attend.
Chamber breakfast set for Wednesday
The Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce Breakfast meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Wheat Lands Restaurant and Conference Center. The breakfast buffet begins at 7:15 a.m.
This month's breakfast is being held one week earlier than normal due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Horticultural group to meet tonight
The next monthly meeting of the High Plains Horticultural Society is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at the Finney County Extension Office, 501 S. Ninth St. The program for the evening will be on Plants of the Bible as presented by Barbara Booker.
'Masters of Motown' to perform tonight
The "Masters of Motown" will perform in Garden City as part of the Southwest Kansas Live On Stage concert season.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. tonight in Clifford Hope Auditorium at Horace J. Good Middle School, 1412 N. Main St.
The 10-member cast will present a musical salute to Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Diana Ross and the Supremes, The Jackson Five and more.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $6 for students.

Free musical programs set for this week
Two musical programs are scheduled this week at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St.
An evening of live entertainment, free of charge, featuring the music group "The Half Fast Singers," will be presented at 7 tonight. The group consists of Richard Taylor, Wendell Wurst, David Miller and Dr. Mark Neuman, who also is the group's guitar accompanist and director.
At 7 p.m. Wednesday, a Christian music program will be presented by the music group "Gospel Gold." Members are from Dodge City and Montezuma.
The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

Annual turkey dinner set for Wednesday
The annual dinner and bazaar at Copeland United Methodist Church is set for Wednesday.
The dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m., with carry-outs available only from 5 to 5:30 p.m. The bazaar will start at 7:30 p.m.
A free-will donation drawing for a quilt will be conducted after the auction.
