Garden City Recreation Commission has two Easter events this month, with registration due by Monday at the activity center, 310 N. Sixth St.

On April 17, there will be an egg-dyeing event for children age 4 to second grade. Kids can bring a dozen hard-boiled eggs to the activity center and color them from 4:30 to 5:20 p.m. The cost is $2. A recipe for learning how to hard-boil eggs is given with your receipt when pre-registering.

An egg hunt will begin at 4:30 p.m. April 18 at Deane Wiley complex, 2406 N. Campus Drive, for children age 2 to second grade. All hunters need to bring a basket or bag to collect eggs in. The egg hunt is divided by age groups on each softball field. The eggs are filled with a variety of individual packaged candies. A $2 wristband for entry to the event is required. In case of inclement weather, hunters may call the GCRC hotline, 276-1202, for a program update.

For more information, call Joan Scherman at 276-1200.
