Geraldine Berniece White, 100, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
She was born May 24, 1912, in Protection, to William and Estella Garten Bratcher. She graduated from Protection High School.
Mrs. White had been a home economics teacher at Liberal High School in Liberal for many years. In 2002 she moved to Garden City.
On May 24, 1946, she married Donald White in Liberal. He died Nov. 26, 2003. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lana Susan Maturey; and two brothers, Felton and Orville Bratcher.
Survivors include a sister, Maxine Clark Jones of Garden City; and three grandchildren.
Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brenneman Funeral Home Chapel in Liberal, with burial at Restlawn Cemetery.
