LYONS — Nathan Eugene Kirkland, 39, Lyons, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Lyons. He was born April 24, 1975, in Ulysses to Loyd and Phyllis Johnson Kirkland.

LYONS — Nathan Eugene Kirkland, 39, Lyons, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Lyons. He was born April 24, 1975, in Ulysses to Loyd and Phyllis Johnson Kirkland.

Kirkland married Bobbie Beardsley in May 1995. He married Jami S. Taylor on March 22, 2008, in Dalhart, Texas.

The former Garden City resident was living in Lyons.

He is survived by wife, Jami S. Kirkland of Lyons; father, Loyd Kirkland of Manter; mother, Phyllis Billings of Dalhart, Texas; five sons, Tyler Kirkland of Lyons, Austen and Jerimiah Kirkland of Dalhart, Texas, Taelor and Dustin Pister of Ulysses; five daughters, Shanna Kirkland of Dalhart, Texas, Courtney, Elizabeth and Darla Kirkland of Lyons, and Hailey Pister of Ulysses; a brother, James Kirkland of Dalhart, Texas; two sisters, Crystal Scrivner of Purcell, Okla. and Lorene Hart of Dalhart, Texas.

He was preceded in death by a son; Ryan Kirkland, and his grandparents.

Services are 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Johnson City. Interment will follow at the Stanton County Cemetery in Johnson City.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Kirkland Children's Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson City, Kansas 67855.
