Juan Andrada, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.

Juan Andrada, 90, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin.

He was born June 24, 1923, at Del Rio, Texas to Antonio and Cipriana (Arredondo) Andrada.

He married Refugia Guebara on Jan. 22, 1944, at Meadow Texas. She preceded him in death.

Andrada moved to Garden City in 1952 and worked for farmers and Circle Feeders.

Survivors include two sons, Juan Andrada, Jr., of Hooker, Okla., and Sammy Andrada of Austin, Texas; eight daughters, Tonia Rodriquez of Amarillo, Texas, Martha Rincones, Rebecca Andrada, Betty Andrada, and Melda Montanez, all of Garden City, Rosie Rodriquez of Liberal, Alberta Andrada of Fort Worth, Texas, and Anita Mata of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, Freddie Andrada of Canyon, Texas; 34 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two sons, Alfred and Lupe.

Services are 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Church of God of the First Born. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of God of the First Born.

Memorials are suggested to the Juan Andrada Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
