A Cimarron man was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred in Ford County Tuesday morning.

Rocio Cardiel, 34, Cimarron, was taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, after being pinned between two vehicles on U.S. Highway 50, about 2.5 miles west of Dodge City, at approximately 8:25 a.m. Tuesday.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Margaret A. Froelich, 49, Dodge City, was traveling eastbound in a 2002 Chevy Tahoe, on the shoulder of U.S. Highway 50, where Cardiel’s vehicle was parked for a tire change. Froelich rear-ended Cardiel’s vehicle and pinned Cardiel in between the vehicles, pushing Cardiel’s vehicle into the eastbound lane.

Officials at Wesley Medical Center would not release Cardiel’s condition.
