marijuana is no crime, robbery is.

Every day I look to the GC telegram as a former resident, I still do care for a few individuals there. More and more people being arrested for possession of marijuana....yet more and more often WE ALL SEE that there is one single man reeking havoc in GC. Robbing gas stations, pawn shops, even innocent individuals. While the PD is spending their time picking up trash and wasting time harassing people who smoke marijuana, there is a mad man on the loose. GARDEN CITY! TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR CITY AND POLICE DEPARTMENT. DONT YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFTEY AND PROPERTY?
Look at many other local and State governments who have legalized or downplayed marijuana...Take Denver or Oakland for example marijuana is legal and crime is down. This is because the PD has more time to focus on real issues; violent issues and not the petty marijuana users, trash clean up, bad checks writers.
Here is one of my favorite Police Blotter entries from today (12/9/2009).

Ok, so while dispatch sent an officer to take this report, there are people breaking into cars and houses. There is also the 5’7 to 5’9 slender built man with a hoodie planning his next heist. PD protocol should be to tell whom ever LOSS their I-pod to take better care of their stuff and then hang up. Do you really think someone is going to put up posters or call the police because they found an I-Pod? Do you really think that the PD is going to put our an APB for a LOST I-Pod?
GOOD LUCK, COW TOWN.
