Rodriguez given service award

Golden Plains Credit Union Employee Lili Rodriguez received the 2013 Member Service Award at Golden Plains' annual meeting in April in Garden City. The award is presented to a Golden Plains' employee who exemplifies outstanding member service. She was nominated by her peers, who said they appreciate her positive attitude and that she is a great leader and trainer. Rodriguez has worked at Golden Plains for seven years and is special accounts supervisor for the special accouns department.

Rijfkogel gets Star Award

Golden Plains Credit Union Employee Elizabeth Rijfkogel was presented with the 2013 Star Award at Golden Plains' annual meeting in April in Garden City. The award is given to an employee who consistently provides superior service within the credit union.

She was nominated by her peers for he award, who praised her for being very knowledgeable and for going above and beyond for both staff and members. Rijfkogel has worked at Golden Plains for 3.5 years and is the teller manager.

Builders Plus making changes

Chris Callen has recently been named chief executive officer for Builders+ Concrete, LLC to oversee the company's functions and long-term planning. Hal Callen will take over the role of chief operations officer to focus on continued production of high quality work.The company will continue striving for distinction in the midwest market.

Irsik joins Bors Law

Bors Law, PA, located at 118 W. Pine St., has recently hired Shannon Irsik to join its support staff. Irsik was at the Finney County District Court Clerk's office.

Chamber events set for May

The Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast is 7 a.m. Wednesday at the Golf Club at Southwind. Business After Hours is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. May 29 at Garden City Inn, 1202 W. Kansas Ave., with food and beverages for all, as well as door prizes.
