William Raymond Woodard, 76, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at the Garden Valley Retirement Village in Garden City.
He was born Sept. 4, 1936, in Garden City, to Raymond O. and Rachel Whiteley Woodard.
Mr. Woodard was a retired civil service employee for the Federal Government and a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Church of The Brethren of Garden City.
Survivors include two brothers, Wesley J. and Michael G. Woodard, both of Garden City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Victor D. Woodard.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Garden Valley Retirement Village Chapel in Garden City.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Garden City.
Interment will be held in the Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.
Memorials may be given to the to church in care of Price & Sons Funeral Home of Garden City.
