TODAY, SEPT. 1

Garden City Farmer's Market: Featuring a variety of home-grown produce, home-crafted items and homemade foods, 7 a.m. to noon each Saturday through Sept. 29 in the parking lot of Westlake Hardware, 1210 Fleming St.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 4

Musical program: Christian music featuring the music group "Copeland, Ks. Salem Mennonite Singers," 7:30 p.m. (note time change this week only) at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 6

Knowledge At Noon program: Findings from the "Finney County Health/Well-Being Assessment and Social Capital Study," 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. at the Finney County Public Library, 605 E. Walnut St.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 8

Pizza and Movie Night: Featuring "Rise and Shine: The Jay DeMerit Story," 7 p.m. at Church of the Brethren, 505 N. Eighth St. Free event although donations will be taken.

Health Department

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

Senior Center

The following events are scheduled at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., unless otherwise noted. Anyone 55 years of age or older is welcome to participate.

Open pool: 1 to 4 p.m. today.

Dominoes and open pool: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Lunch: Served at noon Tuesday through Friday.

Gentle exercise: 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Pitch: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bridge: 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

"Back to School for Seniors" class: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Line dancing: 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Dance: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday featuring "Last Resort."

TOPS: 9 a.m. Thursday.

Art class: 10 a.m. Thursday.

Gentle exercise: 11 a.m. Thursday.

Ambassador Singers practice: 1 p.m. Thursday.

Line dancing: 8:30 a.m. Friday.

Bridge: 12:45 p.m. Friday.

Meals on Wheels is available by calling 272-3620; Mini-bus, 272-3626; Senior Center, 272-3620.
