Adoption event: Sponsored by the Finney County Humane Society, with pets available for adoption from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tractor Supply Company, 3333 E. Mary St.

Tumbleweed Festival: Featuring music, crafts, food and fun Aug. 25 and 26 on the west green of Lee Richardson Zoo. Kick-Off Night is 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, with the festival continuing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 25 and 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 26. Chachi Day 5K Run/Walk: Held at Chachi's Place in Deerfield, the event will include breakfast, silent auction items, 3-on-3 basketball, a dart tournament, a pool tournament, Chachi Tattoos, Bolo Golf, water sprinklers, lunch and swimming.
