Luncheon: In honor of recent school retirees, the Sunflower Unit of the Kansas Association of Retired School Personnel will host a noon luncheon at Garden Valley Family Center, 1702 N. Third St. The meal will be followed by a short program. Reservations are due by noon Tuesday by calling 275-5566.

Tumbleweed Festival: Featuring music, crafts, food and fun Aug. 25 and 26 on the west green of Lee Richardson Zoo.
