TODAY, JAN. 4

Volunteer coffee and open house: Lee Richardson Zoo's annual event, 2 p.m. at the Finnup Center for Conservation Education, 312 E. Finnup Drive. Blood drive: Noon to 6 p.m. in the South Room at the Grant County Civic Center in Ulysses (bring your donor card or photo ID; donors must be 17 or older and weigh at least 110 pounds; walk-ins welcome).

Health Department and WIC

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon. For more information, call the health department at 272-3600 or WIC (Women, Infant and Children) at 272-3615.

Senior Center

The following events are scheduled at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., unless otherwise noted. Anyone 55 years of age or older is welcome to participate.

Open pool: 1 to 4 p.m. today.

Dominoes and open pool: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Lunch: Served at noon Monday through Friday.

Double pinochle: 12:30 p.m. Monday.

"Strength Training for Seniors," a new exercise program: 5:15 p.m. Monday and Thursday.

Duplicate bridge: 7 p.m. Monday.

Walking: 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

"Intro to Computers" class: 9 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Gentle exercises: 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Pitch: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Bridge: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Line dancing: 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
