TODAY, JAN. 25

N.E.W. (Never Ending Workshop): Open to children age 3 to 6, with this session's project being "Paper Bag Paintings," 2 to 3 p.m. at Garden City Arts, 318 N. Main St. (bring a smock). Fee is $3 for non-members; $2 for members. A parent will need to stay with their child. Space is limited to six children, and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Musical program: Garden City Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers performance at 5 p.m. at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., with a carry-in supper served from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by music until 9 p.m. (bring a favorite covered dish for the meal and sign in to take a turn in the rotation of musicians and singers). Admission is free to the public.

SUNDAY, JAN. 26

Classic Gospel Sing-along: Open to all area musicians and the general public, 4 p.m. at Heaven Bound Cowboy Church, 1202 S. Second in Dodge City. For more information, call (620) 846-7046.

Groundhog supper: Serving whole hog sausage, biscuits and gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, sauerkraut, Kool-Aid, coffee and ice cream, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 205 N. Eighth St. Cost is $7.50 for adults, $4 for children age 12 and younger, and free for age 5 and younger. Whole hog sausage patties will be available for $5 for a 1 1/2 pound package.

TUESDAY, JAN. 28

Musical variety program: Featuring old-time, toe-tapping fiddle music by the Irsik brothers, Joe and Jon, 7 p.m. at Garden Valley Retirement Village, 1505 E. Spruce St. The public is encouraged to attend at no charge. For more information, call 275-5036.

Groundhog supper: Serving sausage, homemade biscuits and gravy, sausage gravy and more, 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1106 N. Main St. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children age 11 and younger. Sausage patties also will be available for sale. Tickets may be purchased at Patrick Dugan's Coffee House, 301 N. Main St.; El Conquistador, 1601 Buffalo Jones Ave.; Garden City Propane, 1304 N. Massey Ferguson Road; by contacting a member of the United Methodist Men; calling the church office at 275-9171; or stopping by the church.

SATURDAY, FEB. 1

Fun Night: Featuring a Mexican dinner of enchiladas, tacos and tostadas, a silent auction, prizes and games for the kids, 5 to 8 p.m. at St. Mary School parish center, 510 N. 12th St.

Friends of Sandsage Bison Range and Wildlife Area Annual Membership Drive Banquet and Meeting

Sandsage Membership Drive Banquet: Registration deadline of Feb. 1 for the Feb. 8 event at the Finnup Center for Conservation, 312 E. Finnup Drive. Come as a guest of a current member or call Tom Norman at (620) 474-3645 and become a member. A $10 registration is required to cover the cost of dinner; all attendees must be current members or their guest.

Health Department and WIC

Hours at the Finney County Health Department, 919 Zerr Road, are 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 a.m. to noon.
