Lauren Deaver and Adam Lauridsen, both of Lawrence, were married Nov. 2, 2013, in a 4:30 p.m., double-ring ceremony at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Lawrence.

The bride's parents are Michael and Carol Deaver of Garden City. Her grandparents are Ruth Richards of Garden City; and Leroy and Dorothy Deaver of Clay Center.

The groom is the son of Lee and Catherine Lauridsen of Lawrence. His grandparents are Louise Lauridsen of Baldwin; and Eva Cramer of Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Jen Ciszewski of Tonganoxie. Bridesmaids were Sydnee Sassaman of Lawrence; Catherine Gibson of Garden City; and Brittany Barrett and Megan Ryan, both of Wichita.

Best man was Nathan Hickey of Lawrence. Groomsmen were Ross Henrich of Kansas City, Kan.; Aaron Lauridsen, the groom's brother from Lawrence; Kyle Marsh of Lawrence; and Elliott Klaassen of Wichita.

Candlelighters were Jillian Deaver, the bride's cousin from Dallas, Texas; and Sashi Lauridsen, the groom's sister from Lawrence.

Flower girls were Palin Clark of Manhattan; and Abigail Rundell of Garden City. They are the bride's cousins.

Serving as ushers were Kyle Deaver, the bride's brother from Garden City; and Darian Lewis and Michael Shaw, both of Lawrence.

Music was provided by The Oread Strings, a string quartet from Lawrence. Selections included "Be Thou My Vision," "Come Thou Font of Every Blessing" and "Sinfonia from Solomon."

Program attendants were Madison Deaver, the bride's cousin from Cimarron; and Anna Schmeeckle of Pierceville. Guest book attendants were Chelsea Alexander of Hays; and Jayna Lauridsen, the groom's sister from Lawrence.

The ceremony was followed by a reception, given by the bride's parents, at the Kansas Union Ballroom at the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence. Assistants were Tim and Kim Alexander of Garden City; Lonnie and Cindee Sassaman, of Garden City; Zita Milligan, the bride's aunt from Clay Center; Mary Deaver, the bride's aunt from Dallas; Kim Deaver, the bride's aunt from Colwich; and LaDonna Clark, the bride's aunt from Manhattan.

The bride graduated from Garden City High School in 2009, attended Garden City Community College and graduated from the University of Kansas in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is an administrative assistant at The Professional Renewal Center in Lawrence.

The groom graduated from Free State High School in Lawrence in 2005 and from the University of Kansas in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in French. He is a program manager at the Boys and Girls Cub of Lawrence.

After a wedding trip to Vietnam and Cambodia, the newlyweds are at home in Lawrence.
