SYRACUSE — Ted Lucas Burnett, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.
He was born Dec. 20, 1937 to Joe Lucas Burnett and Ethel Mary Burnett.
He served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1964.
Soon after his military service, he married Judy Ann Holtz. They later divorced.
On Oct. 8, 1992, he re-married, to Mary Evelyn Weeks.
Mr. Burnett was a farmer and long-time resident of Syracuse.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe Burnett of Syracuse and Todd Burnett of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Tara Wilbert of Wichita; two stepchildren, Vivian Rainey of Elk City, Okla., Wade Dowdell of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Lois Lesser of Brighten, Colo., and Helen Burnett of Denver; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. MST Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, Syracuse. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. MST Tuesday at Fellers Funeral Home LLC of Syracuse.
