Sublette woman injured in accident

Published 2/19/2009 in News

A Sublette woman was taken to the hospital after being injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle accident in Haskell County.

Julia Ann Sniff, 50, was taken to Satanta District Hospital following the accident at about 9:30 a.m. The accident occurred about two miles east of Sublette, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

A GMC Envoy driven by Margaretha Dyck, 36, Sublette, was headed north on Haskell County Road QQ, and Sniff's passenger car was headed east on U.S. Highway 56. Dyck failed to yield to Sniff and struck the vehicle, according to the KHP.

Dyck was not injured in the incident. The hospital would not release Sniff's condition.
