Duplicate bridge

The Garden City Duplicate Bridge Club played three tables on Sunday in a regular 25-board Howell movement. No slams were bid but nine suit games and 11 in no-trump succeeded. First place went to Dorothy Bartlett and Virginia Enslow with a 57 percent game while Jon Kempton and Irene Bryant were second.

The regular game Monday evening hosted seven pairs. Eight games were made in suits and eight in no-trump; three slams succeeded while three did not. Wen Wurst and Jon Craig were first with a 67 percent game. Helen Lee and Shirley Klotz were second. Bartlett and Enslow held third.

Regular games begin at 7 p.m. Monday, 1:15 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., with all bridge players welcome. For partners, call Kempton at 276-2876.

John Bunnell won high in Tuesday's session of senior center pitch at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Second place went to Jerry Wallace. Bob Baker took third.
