Wide Awake 4-H

Wide Awake 4-H Club met May 12 at Plymell School, with members answering roll call by naming a place they would like to visit.

Devotions were given by Jonathan Lock. The parliamentary tip was given by Timothy Gillen. Joke of the day was given by Nicholas Overland. Chase McGraw shared a current event, announcing that the Garden City High School FFA was selling plants.

Song leaders sang "Five Speckled Frogs" and "Happy Birthday" to all members with May birthdays.

Project talks included Cephas Lobmeyer talking about goats, Micaila Lock discussing hogs, Abby Gillen on buymanship and Samuel James talked about origami.

For recreation, members played "Green Light Red Light."

Members donated macaroni and cheese to Emmaus House.

The next meeting will be June 9 at Plymell School.

Senior center pinochle

Neva Maxfield won high in the four tables of senior center pinochle played Wednesday at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Jerry Wallace took second place. Third went to Stipp Rapp.
