The Ingalls girls, seeded seventh in the league tournament on Monday, came away with their second-consecutive title Saturday as they defeated top-seeded Bucklin 49-38 at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City.

The loss avenged a 41-40 defeat in December for the Lady Bulldogs.

All the Ingalls needed was a quick-strike 19-2 opening quarter against the Lady Aces as they cruised to their back-to-back Southern Plains-Iroquois title.

Senior Rebecca Wyatt led the Bulldogs (10-4) with 17 points, including 7 of 12 from the free thrown line.

Hope Beach added 13, including 12 from the floor.

Kaisha Batman and Bulma Galaviz each chipped in eight.

Only two girls scored for Bucklin, now 11-2 this season.

Morgan Hood had 28 (including three 3-pointers and 7 for 9 from the free throw line) and Janae Price had 10, half of those from the line.
