The latest snowstorm that hit the midwest caused a couple of more sports activity cancellations/postponements for Garden City Community College.

The Broncbuster baseball team was forced to postpone a pair of games at Rose State, Midwest City, Okla., scheduled for Saturday and Sunday to Feb. 22, when the teams will compete in a double-header, the college announced on Friday.

The college also announced the re-scheduled dates for the softball team's postponed double-header originally set for Friday at Trinidad, Colo., State Junior College, which was the front end of a home-and-home series between the two schools.

Instead, the re-scheduled double-header will now be played on March 9 in Garden City, a day after Trinidad was already scheduled to complete the home-and-home series with a trip to Garden City.

The baseball team will now open the season at home at 1 p.m. Wednesday against McCook, Neb., Community College. The softball team will also open at home in a double-header beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday against Frank Phillips College (Perryton, Texas).
