Two people are in the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash at 10:37 p.m. Saturday in Scott County.
James Edwin Speer, 17, Scott City, was driving southbound on Navajo Road, one mile north of Scott City, when his 2000 Eclipse hit a parked vehicle head on. The parked vehicle was facing north on the southbound side of the road, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.
A passenger in Speer's car, Brittany Lynne Hillery, 18, Scott City, was flown by Eagle Med to Wichita. She is in serious condition at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Speer is in fair condition at St. Catherine Hospital.
The parked vehicle, a 2006 pickup, including its occupants Jonathan Reser, 27, Marienthal and Hannah Slater, 21, Dighton, was pushed into an unoccupied 2004 truck.
The occupants of the parked car were not injured, the highway patrol said.
