The Finney County Genealogical Society will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kansas Room at the Finney County Public Library, 605 E. Walnut St.

Bernard Strasser will give the lesson "Using Photos In Your Research."

Visitors are welcome.

Senior center pinochle

Charles and Neva Maxfield tied for high in Wednesday's session of senior center pinochle played at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St. Donna Preston took second place. Third went to Jean Wildeman.

RNA Chapter 163

Royal Neighbors of America Chapter 163 met Sept. 17 at the Senior Center of Finney County, 907 N. 10th St., for a lunch and business meeting.

Four members answered roll call by telling of a school day memory. Norma Schiffelbein and Ina Mae Delinger were the birthday honorees. There were 69 sick calls made.

On July 10, three members went to buy and deliver some new toys and other items to be given to Community Day Care Center.

Delinger was installed as president for the chapter.

The next meeting will be Tuesday at the senior center.

Happy Hustlers 4-H

"Parents Night" and "Pizza for Everyone" was the regular monthly meeting of the Happy Hustlers 4-H Club on Oct. 6 at the 4-H building. Parents conducted the meeting and answered the roll. Roll call was "what is your middle name?" Several guests and their families were introduced.

The club plans to donate bags of candy for Boo! at the Zoo and participate in the officers' training on Nov. 14. Project commercials were given for the following projects: Swine by Murrell family, Foods by Hogan family, Citizenship by Gigot family, Arts and Crafts by Clark family, Woodworking and Shooting Sports by Wyatt Gigot, and Legos by Symone Simmons. Donnie and Karen Murrell gave a demonstration on Lemonade Pork Chops.

Parents directed the new officer installation ceremony for Abby Murrell, president; Lexi Hogan, vice president; Corrine Bergstrom, secretary; Rayenah Bergstrom, treasurer; Elly Murrell, reporter; Wyatt Gigot and Tristan Clark, recreation leaders; and Rian Linenberger, song leader.

Lexi Hogan was the birthday honoree. For recreation, members played tag outside and returned inside to enjoy pizza with parents and guests.

The next meeting will be Nov. 3 at the 4-H building.
