Ingalls girls win at SPIAA, Dighton falls in NWKL final

Ingalls 53, Minneola 33

In the Southern Plains tournament the Ingalls Lady Bulldogs defeated the Minneola Lady Wildcats, 53-33, behind the scoring of Kaisha Batman, who had a game high 16 points.

The Lady Bulldogs had the game seemingly put away at the end of the first half as they led 29-10, although the Lady Wildcats did make it more competitive in the second half by scoring over 10 points in the each of the final two periods.

The leading scorer for the Lady Wildcats was Fallon Haynes who had 11 points.

Hoxie 64, Dighton 55

In the Northwest Kansas League tournament at Oberlin, the Hoxie Lady Indians defeated the Dighton Lady Hornets, 64-55, with the help of Kristina Faber, who had 17 points.

The Lady Hornets were down 18-12 at the end of the first period but were able to tie the game up at 33 with a strong second period in which they scored 21 points.

The leading scorer for the Lady Hornets was Jordan Speer, who had 17 points.
