HAYS — Rodney McFee, 80, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, in Hays.
He was born May 23, 1932 in Rawlins County, to Ray and Grayce McFee.
He farmed in southwest Rawlins County until moving to Atwood in 1983. He also worked at CW Beamgard Co. for many years.
Mr. McFee was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He married Margie Ann Holub on Oct. 3, 1955 in Atwood. She died in 1998. He remarried, to Fawna Haremza, on Aug. 11, 1999.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Margie; two brothers Jim and Malcolm; a sister, Gracie Maxine Allen; and a step-daughter Sally Owens.
Survivors include his wife, Fawna; four sons, Rob McFee and wife Loretta of Oberlin, Dan McFee and wife Kay of Holcomb, Sam McFee and wife Susan of Perkins, Okla., and Tim McFee and wife Hope of Atwood; two daughters, Becky McFee of Wathena, and Karla McFee of Ellis; three step children, Bennie Haremza and wife Vickie of Bellemont, Ariz., and Cindi Hurst and Susan Haremza of Lawrence; 25 grandchildren including Meghan McFee of Garden City; 16 great grandchildren; many brothers and sisters in-law and nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Atwood. Private family inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Atwood.
