Ralph Forbes

ELKHART — Ralph Allan Forbes, 61, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Morton County Hospital in Elkhart.

He was born March 27, 1951, in Vilas, Colo., to Melvin and Ruby Hagerman Forbes.

On Sept. 15, 1972, he married Florence Pamela “Penny” Adams in Elkhart.

An Elkhart resident since 1954, Mr. Forbes worked for the Morton County Road Department for many years.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Waylon, Casey and Brice Forbes, all of Elkhart; two sisters, Rowena Maze of Henderson, Nev., and Ardith Talbert of Muskogee, Okla.; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Royal Forbes.  

Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Morton County Civic Center, Elkhart. Burial will be at Elkhart Cemetery.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Hillcrest Southern Baptist Church, Elkhart. Memorials are suggested to Ministerial Alliance Food Bank or Morton County Little Britches Rodeo Association, both in care of Paul’s Funeral Home, Box 236, Hugoton, KS 67951.

I'm so sorry to read of Ralph's passing. I just talked to him a couple of weeks ago. He was a dear cousin and I will always remember his kindness when Mom passed away.
