Girls: Ingalls, Moscow, South Gray win big; Rolla edges Syracuse

Ingalls 53, Minneola 33

At Minneola, Kaisha Batman scored 13 points to lead the Ingalls Lady Bulldogs to a win over the Lady Wildcats, 53-33.

After a big first quarter from Batman, who scored nine of her of the 22 points for the Bulldogs in the first, the Bulldogs simply had to hold on. Over the next three quarters, each team scored 31 points.

Wildcat Kristin Schneweis scored the most points for the game with 14.

Moscow 55, Sublette 40

At Sublette, Maria Cecenas put up 16 points to help the Moscow Lady Wildcats defeat the Sublette Lady Larks on their home court, 55-40.

Although Brook Briggs was able to score 16 points for the Larks, she was the only player with the Larks who was able to score in the double digits. The Wildcats, however, had five players in double digits.

South Gray 56, Deerfield 18

At Montezuma, the South Gray Lady Rebels handily defeated the Deerfield Lady Spartans, 56-18.

At the end of the first quarter, the Rebels had scored 17 points to nearly equal the Spartans' final score. After the Spartans went scoreless in the second quarter, the score was 35-4 at halftime.

Shelby Axtell was the big scorer of the night with 10 points, while Madison Dirks and Cassy Watson had nine each.

Rolla 41, Syracuse 34

At Syracuse, Kaleigh Barrett scored 19 points to lead the Rolla Lady Pirates to victory over the Syracuse Lady Bulldogs, 41-34.

Going into halftime, the Bulldogs and the Pirates were tied with 17 points. In the third quarter, the Pirates began to pull ahead of the Bulldogs as they scored 11 points to the Bulldogs' eight.

Scott City 45, Goodland 44

At Scott City, the Scott City Lady Beavers won a tight game against the Goodland Cowgirls, 45-44, with the assistance of Bailey Nickel, who had a game-high 25 points, 10 more points than her closest competition.

The Lady Beavers were down at halftime by three points, but behind a strong third period, 14-7, they were able to lead by four points heading into the final period. Kelly Wycoff, Mariah Campbell and Riley Hawker rounded out the scoring for the Lady Beavers with nine, seven, and three points, respectively.

The Cowgirls were paced by Maddie Mayer, who had a team-high 15 points, with teammate Kate-Lynn King adding another 11.

Cimarron 58, Satanta 30

At Cimarron, with the assistance of Ashtynn Burns' game-high 15 points, the Cimarron Lady Bluejays soundly beat the Satanta Lady Indians, 58-30.

The Lady Jays held a big lead of 14 points at the end of the first period, which they extended to a 22-point lead heading into halftime.

Vanessa Caro led the Lady Indians in scoring with 13 points.
