Lupe Andrada, Sr., 66, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover. He was born June 28, 1947, to Juan and Refugia (Anugia) Andrada in Brownsville, Texas.

Lupe Andrada, Sr., 66, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover. He was born June 28, 1947, to Juan and Refugia (Anugia) Andrada in Brownsville, Texas.

On Nov. 26, 1966, he married Manuela Ortega in Garden City. She died on June 20, 2009.

Mr. Andrada worked at Nation Beef Packing Company for 32 years, up until his retirement.

Survivors include his father; one son, Lupe Andrada, Jr. of Liberal; three daughters, Linda Andrada of Liberal, Rosa Byrd of Guymon, Okla., Sandra Galindo of Midland, Texas; two brothers, Juan Andrada, Jr. of Hooker, Okla., Samuel Andrada, of Austin, Texas; eight sisters, Antonia Rodriguez of Amarillo, Texas, Martha Rincones of Garden City, Rosie Rodriguez of Liberal, Rebecca Andrada of Garden City, Betty Andrada of Garden City, Alberta Andrada of Fort Worth, Texas, Melda Montanez of Garden City, and Anita Mata of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Alfred Andrada.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 204 N. Sherman, Liberal. Burial will take place at Liberal Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Brenneman Funeral Home in Liberal. The family will greet friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church.
