SUBLETTE — Richard Lee Hoffman Sr., 86, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

He was born May 5, 1926, in Sublette to Earl Ulysses and Lila Maude Lindeman Hoffman.

He was a lifetime resident of Sublette and attended school there. On June 30, 1946, he married Frances Jean French in Sublette. He farmed south of Sublette for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Nancy Weeks and Sue Stoppel of Sublette and Cynthia Collier of Indio, Calif.; one brother, Randall "Curly" Hoffman of Sublette; one sister, Shirley Passow of Marble Falls, Texas; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Richard "Dick" Hoffman Jr.

Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sublette Christian Church. Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.
