SCOTT CITY — Josephine F. Gaschler, 92, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Homestead of Topeka in Topeka.
She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in West Plains, Mo., to Joseph and Hannah Lippe Cunningham.
On Nov. 21, 1949, she married John Gaschler in Topeka. He preceded her in death.
A longtime resident of Scott City before moving back to Topeka, Mrs. Gaschler was a licensed practical nurse.
Survivors include three sons, John Gashler Jr., of Garden City, Thomas Gaschler of Cheyenne Wells, Colo., and Edward Gaschler of Topeka, and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and a sister.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Scott City.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery. Memorials can be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church or Scott County EMTs, in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
