Kansas 31st in new economy

(MCT) — Kansas ranks 31st among states for its reliance on the "New Economy," according to a Washington, D.C.-based technology group.

The Information Technology and Innovation Foundation ranked state economies based on their relative number of knowledge jobs, globalization, economic dynamism, size of their digital economy and innovation capacity.

Massachusetts ranked first, just ahead of Delaware, California, Washington and Maryland. Mississippi ranked last. Others at the bottom included West Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
