Lino Moncada

Lino Moncada, 81, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Homestead Health and Rehabilitation Center in Garden City.

Moncada was born Nov. 12, 1931, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Atanacio and Joaquina Moncada.

He married Brijida in Guanajuato, Mexico.

A longtime Garden City resident, he worked in the processing department at Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc.

Survivors include three sons, Joe, Ruben and Sergio Moncada, all of Garden City; a brother, Rosenda Moncado of Guanajuato; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and seven brothers and sisters.

Rosary is at 7 p.m. tonight at St. Mary Catholic Church. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Garnand Funeral Home, 412 N. Seventh St., Garden City.
