BRIEF: Klein QB camp returns to GCHS


The 2nd annual Collin Klein Passing Academy will return to Garden City on July 15.

The 2nd annual Collin Klein Passing Academy will return to Garden City on July 15.

The one-day camp will have two sessions, both to be held at Garden City High School's Buffalo Stadium.

There will be a camp from 9 a.m. to noon for first through sixth graders and then a second camp, from 1 to 4 p.m. for seventh to 12th graders.

Registration is on camp day and begins one hour prior to the start of the camp. Fee is $50 per person. Payment can be made by cash or check, with checks being made payable to Collin Klein Passing Academy.

Klein was a three-year starter and captain at Kansas State University and was a 2012 All-American and Big 12 Player of the Year. He also was a Heisman Trophy finalist while winning the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Kellen Moore Quarterback of the Year Award. He was a finalist for the Manning, Maxwell and Davey O'Brien Awards.
