A number of southwest Kansas area basketball players were named to the 2009 Kansas Basketball Coaches Association all-state teams.
Jordan Wilcox of Class 3A Holcomb and Chase Clancy of Class 1A South Gray were the lone boys to make first team in their respective classes.
Lucas Plunkett of 2A Syracuse was named second team while Chip Schneider of Greeley County was a third team pick. Zevin Roth of Holcomb and Cody Bernbeck of Garden City were honorable mention selections.
South Gray's Mikayla Skidmore was a second team Class 1A choice and the Lady Rebels' Kayla Thomas was a third team pick. Kelsey Hubin of Dighton made honorable mention as did Marisela Rodriguez of Class 6A Garden City and Gylee Martin of 2A Stanton County.

Congrats to area prep stars!!!
The area prep stars that were named will also play in the KCBA All-Star game at Washburn Univ. on Aug. 5th,2009. Congratulations to those that were selected and have fun competing!!!!
