Inez L. Dew

Inez L. Dew, 89, of Garden City, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City.

She was born March 11, 1923 to Don and Allie Kells Carroll in Haskell County.

On Dec. 18, 1941 she married Millard A. Dew in Haskell County.

A Garden City resident since 1953, Mrs. Dew worked as a Tupperware sales representative for 25 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Church of God, the Garden Valley Sam's RV Club, the Happy Pairs Round Dance and AARP. She enjoyed handywork, crocheting, embroidery and camping.

Survivors include two sons, Preston and wife, Betty Dew of Garden City, Spencer and wife Lucinda Dew of Longmont, Colo.; one daughter-in-law, Gayle Dew Kneehans of Garden City; two brothers, Roy Carroll of Cheyenne Wells, Colo., and Raymond Carroll of Manzanola, Colo..; one sister, Crystal Travers of Garden City; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one son, Douglas Dew; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Garden City.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home.
