Garden City and Dodge City's historic Hatchet Game in football has been selected as the most popular rivalry game in Kansas by USA TODAY High School Sports.

Readers can help make the rivalry reach the regional and national round by voting as many times as possible.

Voting for the Regional round ends at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Four regional finalists will advance to the championship round. The overall national champion rivalry will receive $10,000 to be divided equally between the athletic departments of the two schools.

In addition, USA TODAY Sports will report live on that rivalry game in 2013, and will present the schools with a trophy that will be kept each year by the winning team.

Currently, the Hatchet belongs to Dodge City after its 24-21 victory over Garden City in late October. The rivalry between the two Western Athletic Conference schools dates back to the early 1900s with the Hatchet Game dating back to 1937.
