Local physician deserves support

6/26/2014

To whom it may concern,

The recent allegations regarding Dr. Kimberly West (June 25, 2014) bear no resemblance to the colleague I have had the privilege of working next to on a daily basis for the past five years. I can speak from personal experience as to her dedication, competence and professionalism. She has delivered two of my grandchildren and is providing care for a number of my family members. If we had any concern about her character, we would seek another practitioner. We have no intention of doing so. The current sanctions are unfortunate and work to the detriment of medical care in Finney County. I hope to continue working with Dr. West for many years to come. I strongly encourage the residents of southwest Kansas to continue showing her a similar level of support.
