A Ulysses man was taken to the hospital after being injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on U.S. Highway 160 in rural Grant County.

Andrew Lee Trevino, 20, was eastbound on U.S. 160 about 3 1/2 miles west of Ulysses, when the 1997 Mazda car he was driving veered off the left side of the road, struck an embankment, went airborne and came to rest on its wheels in a nearby field, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Trevino, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses, where he was listed in stable condition Sunday night.
