Ulysses teen injured in crash

A Ulysses teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning in Grant County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Jennifer Hernandez, 17, was driving a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup north on Stubbs Road at a high rate of speed, failed to stop and lost control of the vehicle. She then crossed the frontage road and the vehicle rolled and struck a building.
Hernandez was taken to Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses. Hospital officials could not comment on her condition.
According to the KHP, Hernandez was wearing a seat belt.
