Lady Busters cruise to win in Colby

Colby — The Garden City Community College Lady Broncbusters were methodical in a 63-47 rout of the Colby Lady Trojans on Saturday.

Starting the second half of the KJCCC schedule in Colby, the Lady Busters increased their record to 13-10 overall and 5-3 in the KJCCC. Meanwhile, the Trojans fall to 2-19 and 0-9.

The Lady Trojans were never closer than 15 points in the second half after the Busters closed the first half on a 13-3 run to lead 35-20 at the break.

The Lady Busters have a quick turnaround as they take on Hutchinson at 5:30 p.m. Monday in a make-up game of Wednesday's postponed game due to weather. The third-ranked Lady Blue Dragons (22-0, 8-0) edged No. 9 Seward County, 81-71, in Hutchinson on Saturday night.

The Lady Trojans' next game is also against Hutchinson, but on Wednesday in Colby.
