D'Shon Taylor had 22 points, and Jeremy Wilson had 15, to lead the Garden City Community College Bronbusters to a 83-71 win over Dodge City on Saturday night at the Perryman Athletic Complex.

The win gives the Busters a 21-8 overall record and 7-6 in the KJCCC West with one regular season game to play — at Barton on Wednesday.

The Busters held a 41-21 lead at the break before fending off a Conquistadors' comeback attempt in the waning minutes to hold on to the victory. Taylor was 5-of-7 shooting, 3 for 3 from 3-point range and 9 of 10 from the free-throw line for his 22 points, while Wilson was 4 of 10 from the field.

At 7-6, the Busters trail Hutchinson, Pratt and Barton, all three at 8-5, for second place in the west — behind first-place Seward County (10-3). If the Busters were to beat Barton on Wednesday, they would hold the tiebreaker due to a season sweep, and they have already swept Pratt and split the season series with Hutchinson.

The Busters travel to Great Bend on Wednesday to take on Barton at 6 p.m.
